Mini rant...

I am just really over modern K-pop fans being such annoying, petulant children.

If a video's quality is less than 720p, they gripe and moan - as if a song can't be good in its own right even if the video isn't super crisp.
If they don't already know who an artist or a group is, they immediately write them off as irrelevant and unimportant.
If something isn't on YouTube, meaning they might have to actually put in effort to download something (gasp), they don't even bother.
A lot of them don't even care about the history of older K-pop - as if their current groups would exist without them 🙄
And to boot, a lot of them actually have no taste...sorry. Or am I? (Yeah, I'm not.)

The older K-pop fans who learned to deal with subpar quality are at least usually sane because they know how it used to be.
Naturally, most J-pop fans are the same.

I know I probably sound like Peak Boomer right now, but I am super over it all at this point.
And this is why I don't actually participate in K-pop fandom despite genuinely liking K-pop myself.
The fans are just...too much. Talking with them usually results in a headache.
Nope. No thank you. I'll stick to J-pop fandom any day.
